Laureen Ricks of the DCPS made the statement "[...]It appears to be a prank [...]" which leaves The Trump Effect scratching its head. To the best of our knowledge, no one is claiming that the school codified bubblers by color of its skin, so obviously the signs are not legitimate.
That does not, however, negate the seriousness of the issue to the point that it can be downgraded to a 'prank'. "Pranks" require shenanigans, not a targeted reminder of a recent time in history in which our Black brothers and sisters were segregated, targeted, and murdered for the crime of being Black.
