Kristallnacht, Redux

From November 9-10, 1938, German military police and German civilians raided the homes, business and synagogues of Jewish citizens, smashed the windows, torched the contents, murdered what is estimated to be in the hundreds of Jews, and incarcerated 10s of thousands more.   The night became known as "Crystal Night" or the "Night of Broken Glass".

78 years later to the day, as we reeled in the wake of an unthinkable election result, Philidelphia citizens reported finding racist graffiti and antisemetic slurs along store fronts in the city, including Swastikas incorporated in the name of Trump.
